To copy a page with its page header and footer together in from source document, and then paste into a new Word document. Please do as follows:

1. Open the source document you will copy page from, and show paragraph marks and formatting symbols by clicking Home > Show / Hide . See screenshot:

If you just want to remove the header and footer from the first page of current document and keep others, please do as this:

1. Open the Word file and go to the first page that you want to remove the header and footer, and then double-click the header area into editing mode.

    I have tried all of your methods and nothing works. I just can't get rid of them. The last method stated it didn't find any headers or footers but they are still there. This is so frustrating!

      The headers live in the margins. Try changing your margin sizes.
      • Here's a simple solution I just found. Take your file to a second page and then double click on the gap between the two pages.
